PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: June 15, 2026
1. Overview
Rampper ("Rampper", "we", "us") is a non-custodial interface to smart contracts on the Stellar network. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes when you use it, and how it is handled.
2. We Do Not Collect Personal Accounts
Rampper does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or government-issued identification to use the App. Your identity on Rampper is your wallet address.
3. Information We Process
- Wallet address. Public Stellar addresses you connect, and all on-chain activity associated with them (deposits, orders, releases), are part of the Stellar public ledger and are inherently public — anyone can view this data using a block explorer, independent of Rampper.
- Payment platform handles. If you act as a maker, the payment account details (e.g. e-wallet handle, bank account label) you configure for a currency are stored off-chain by our indexing service and shown to takers who match with your liquidity, so they know where to send fiat. Only commit a hash of these details on-chain; the underlying details are stored off-chain solely to facilitate trades.
- Order & dispute evidence. If you mark an order as paid or open a dispute, any receipts, reference numbers, or messages you submit are stored to resolve that order and may be shared with the counterparty and, where applicable, an arbiter.
- Usage & device data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security, debugging, and aggregate analytics.
4. How We Use This Information
- To operate the order book, escrow lifecycle, and dispute flow.
- To display maker rates, platforms, and liquidity to takers.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- To maintain and improve the reliability of the App.
5. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party infrastructure that processes data independently of Rampper, including:
- Stellar RPC / Horizon nodes, to read and submit transactions.
- Your wallet provider (e.g. Freighter), to sign transactions.
- Price oracle feeds, to compute live exchange rates and spreads.
- Hosting, content delivery, and analytics providers for the web app itself.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services, payment platforms, or wallets — please review their respective policies.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
The App may use local storage in your browser to remember preferences such as your selected currency, payment method, or wallet connection state. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us beyond what is needed to operate the App.
7. Data Retention
On-chain data is retained permanently by the Stellar network and cannot be deleted by us. Off-chain data we store (such as payment handles and dispute evidence) is retained for as long as needed to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations, after which it may be deleted or anonymized.
8. Your Choices
You can disconnect your wallet at any time, which stops the App from reading your address for that session. Because on-chain data is public and immutable, disconnecting does not remove your historical transactions from the Stellar ledger. To remove or update off-chain payment handles, update your deposit configuration from the App.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
